Dynamic Markup

Make operational the alternating marking of wind farms in Wallonia.

The wind turbines are marked to warn military aircraft of their presence. They "flash" white during the day and red at night.

 

Why dynamic markup?

Before the implementation of this Project: the wind turbine lighting was active 100% of the time, day and night, 365 days a year. However, national defense aircraft only fly between 2 and 10% of the time.

After the completion of this Project: Turn off the wind turbine flash between 90 and 98% of the time and only activate it when necessary during air training.

 

Result of the project: the wind turbines no longer emit flashes of light except during aerial exercises and the residents near the wind farms in operation are delighted with the disappearance of this light pollution.

Tasks :

• Negotiation in principle with national defense  willingness to join the Project

• Technical negotiations with the defense

• IT architecture of the Project; who controls what and how?

• Negotiation of the partnership agreement with the IT service provider responsible for developing the solution

• Financial management of the project, business plan and distribution of costs between partners

• Participation in all Project meetings, administrative monitoring between partners, moderation of debates and negotiations
