MIRaCCLE Project
The MIRaCCLE project, led by the companies Klinkenberg SA and CE+T POWER, with the support of HEPL/CECOTEPE, UCL, VOLTA and Haulogy, aims to design, develop, build and operate a DC micro-grid.
This micro network aims to connect 7
companies in the Hauts-Sarts business park (Liège).
This is an R&D project financed by the Walloon Region via the Mecatech cluster.
This DC microgrid will increase the renewable capacities installed within the connected companies as well as the exchanges of electrical energy between them in direct current.
Ultimately, the project will allow:
-
The deployment of new renewable energy installations (up to 2MWc)
-
The creation of expertise supporting the development of their respective business activities
-
Increasing the visibility and attractiveness of related companies on the job market, particularly through their profile committed to the energy transition
-
The development of security standards related to the deployment of DC networks
-
The creation of solid technical bases with a view to a training program, or dissemination of know-how to players in the energy market, in the broad sense, in particular by aggregating elements of concrete experience, analyses of the technical and economic impacts of collective self-consumption operations
-
The emergence of new technologies or equipment linked to energy storage capacities, equipment or network management tools.
